EXCAV8!

Smash through dirt and stone with your trusty pickaxe to collect valuable jewels deep underground. As time passes, the cave shifts, looping around to the right, so any cave-ins you may have started will come back to haunt you over and over again! Handy upgrades can be found in some stones, allowing you to bust through earth faster - which will be essential as the collapse becomes faster and more dangerous with time. How high can you score before you're buried?

This is my submission for Mini Jame Gam 21, completed in approximately 25  hours. This is my first "complete" project, and my first game jam entry ever, so expect rough balancing and probably a bug or few. I'd appreciate if you report any issues to me, but I won't be able to help with the Windows version, as I don't have a Windows device. Regardless, I hope you have fun, and thanks for giving my game a try.

holding left during the level transition from the main menu kills the character, haha

Super fun :) Thanks for showing!

Please make it scalable or at least fullscreen-able.

With Godot it should just be a matter of the right project settings.

This is in the newest build. I was worried about UI issues at first but it seems to be fine. Thanks for playing!

high score seems to stay at 0

Yeah, I dunno how I missed that one, thanks. lol It should still save it at least, I forgot to have it update on returning to the menu, only on game load. I'll fix that after the voting period.
